The Transparency Act
ZEM AS conducts annual due diligence to identify and address risks related to human rights and decent working conditions across our operations and supply chain.
The Transparency Act requires companies to promote respect for fundamental human rights and decent working conditions in the production of goods and services, and to publish an annual due diligence statement.
ZEM AS conducts annual due diligence assessments in accordance with the Act and the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises. Our ethical framework is based on the Volvo Group Code of Conduct, which covers human rights, labour rights, HSEQ, environment, and anti-corruption. The Code of Conduct is publicly available on this website.
Our due diligence process
We carry out ongoing risk assessments to prioritize which suppliers we focus on. Suppliers are assessed against delivery risk and product area relevance. Selected suppliers receive a standardized self-declaration questionnaire covering human rights, labour conditions, HSEQ, environment, and anti-corruption — both in their own operations and in their supply chains. Responses are evaluated and each supplier receives a risk profile. Depending on the profile, follow-up measures are implemented, which may include requests for additional documentation or specific corrective actions.
